A report on our attendance of the opening of the FMD K&L Biotechnology Park, Yerevan, Armenia

On Friday May 27, Clinerion attended the opening ceremony for the first Armenian Biotechnology Park, in Yerevan, Armenia.

The biotechnology park has been set up by Clinerion’s partner, FMD K&L Europe, a European Contract Research Organization based in Yerevan, with the intention of accelerating clinical research activity in Armenia.

FMD K&L Europe is the European region hub of FMD K&L Inc., a global Contract Research Organization headquartered in Fort Washington, PA, USA.

The site was opened by the founder of FMD K&L and Executive Chairman, Dan Zhang, as well as the company’s incoming CEO, John Balian. Speakers included Richard M. Mills Jr., the Ambassador of the United States of America and Hongliang Wang, Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Armenia. The ambassadors of the United Kingdom and Switzerland also attended. Over 80 invited guests attended the event.

Clinerion and FMD K&L, together with Swiss company Sylex, signed a memorandum of understanding on February 1st, 2018, to collaborate on e-health technologies to further clinical research in Armenia and foster an exchange of expertise in the country.
