Introduction to Clinerion: Monitoring a Pandemic with Clinerion Real World Data

A fast-moving pandemic highlights our need for reliable and timely real-world data which can provide Real World Evidence and Health Economics and Outcomes Research insights to develop a quick response.

COVID-19 requires a global perspective and new ways of monitoring the patient journey and treatment outcomes, live, to allow the analysis and modelling of a disease’s progression and enable the creation of synthetic control arms for evaluation of treatment regimes.

Clinerion’s Patient Network Explorer and its tailored real-world data services support evaluation of treatment pathways and patient outcomes to improve care for COVID-19 patients.

Clinerion talk: Enabling an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning infrastructure (at BIO Digital 2021)

How can we leverage the power of real-world data (RWD) and advanced analytics to connect structured and unstructured data within hospitals, contribute to the scientific understanding of patient phenotypes and enable the earlier detection of difficult-to-diagnose diseases and fast-progressing patients?

In this talk, Douglas Drake describes a solution which involves the creation of an infrastructure for AI/ML algorithms (incl. NLP techniques) on an existing hospital network to develop and test pattern-learning methodologies locally and subsequently optimize the global training for the AI/ML model to give physicians better recognition of rare conditions and symptoms and faster diagnosis of life-threating diseases, improving patient outcomes and care.

Clinerion talk: Generating Disease Insights on Patient Journey, Treatments and Outcomes by Use of Global Hospital Network EHR (at DIA Europe 2021)

An EHR-based patient data network can allow the interrogation of retrospective data, as well as the generation of new prospective data for RWE studies, surveillance, sentinel and cross-sectional studies, feasibility studies, screening for risk management or health-care system evaluation, among other traditional or innovative study designs.

Clinerion talk: An Exchange of Best Practice - How to Mobilise Real World Datasets to Accelerate Life Sciences R&D

Date: November 11th, 2020.

Clinerion's Douglas Drake, Senior Director, Client Solutions, participated in this special showcase event organized by OBN and the Swiss Embassy in the UK.

View the recording: https://vimeo.com/478170055/31de67d4d5

This special showcase event featured two Swiss companies and two UK companies who presented an insight into the work of their medical data informatics, to show how real world data solutions are being used to improve efficiency in patient search and identification, presenting the potential positive impact this may have in the treatment of a range of diseases for a wider patient population.
